Donuts with Cotton Candy & SOUR PATCH KIDS Bitz
Serve up the sweet-and-sour flavor trend in a new, whimsical way that takes a nostalgic treat to the next level. A classic yeast-raised donut gets a modern makeover with SOUR PATCH KIDS Bitz mixed into a cloud-like puff of cotton candy and sprinkled on top of its SOUR PATCH KIDS flavored icing.
- 1 Tbsp.cotton candy sugar
- 2 tsp.SOUR PATCH KIDS Bitz (0.25 oz.), divided
- 1 lb.vanilla fondant icing
- 2½ oz.SOUR PATCH KIDS Red Berry Variegate
- 1plain yeast donut (2.75 oz.)
Nutrition per serving
Prepare cotton candy according to manufacturer's directions. When removing cotton candy floss from the machine, sprinkle with 1 tsp. bitz. Shape mixture into a ball; set aside.
Mix fondant and variegate until well blended. Top donut with 1 oz. of the glaze. Place on wire rack. Sprinkle with remaining 1 tsp. bitz. Top with cotton candy floss. Let stand until glaze is firm. (Cover remaining glaze for use with other donuts).
